Despite a disappointment, a good price for Hugo Ungewitter
This work of art by Hugo Ungewitter could be acquired at Sothebys in New York in May 2017 for an unexpectedly low price. In the European Art auction, the work German a Tiger Prowling In The Snow changed hands for USD 47,500.00 (€ 42,274.83) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 50,000.00 – 70,000.00. Despite this disappointing result, German a Tiger Prowling In The Snow is the most expensive artwork by Hugo Ungewitter that we have observed at auction so far.
