Auction result well in line with expectations
In December 2009 Christies in Amsterdam held the auction European Noble and Private Collections, which included the work An equestrian portrait of Frederick the great of Prussia by Hugo Ungewitter. The price achieved of EUR 10,000.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. Admittedly, works by Hugo Ungewitter have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work German a Tiger Prowling In The Snow in May 2017 with an auction result of USD 47,500.00 (€ 42,274.83).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Dezember 2009 führte Christies in Amsterdam die Auktion European Noble and Private Collections durch, in der auch die Arbeit An equestrian portrait of Frederick the great of Prussia von Hugo Ungewitter zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 10.000,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 8.000,00 – 12.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Hugo Ungewitter auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit German a Tiger Prowling In The Snow im Mai 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 47.500,00 (€ 42.274,83).
