Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Oskar Kokoschka by Hugo Erfurth was auctioned at Phillips in London in November 2011. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 10,000.00 – 15,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 11,250.00 (€ 13,133.22) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Hugo Erfurth - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Oskar Kokoschka, 1920, which sold at auction in May 2008 for GBP 24,500.00 (€ 31,165.07).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Oskar Kokoschka von Hugo Erfurth kam im November 2011 bei Phillips in London zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 10.000,00 – 15.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 11.250,00 (€ 13.133,22) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Für andere Arbeiten von Hugo Erfurth mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Oskar Kokoschka, 1920 beobachtet, die im Mai 2008 für GBP 24.500,00 (€ 31.165,07) versteigert wurde.
