Auction result misses estimated price range
In April last year a collector was able to acquire the work Relief à déplacement continuel by Hugo Demarco for EUR 1,512.00. This price was achieved in the auction Contemporary Curated at Sothebys in Paris and was even below the estimate range of EUR 2,000.00 – 3,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Hugo Demarco achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Relief À Deplacement Continuelle in May 2008 with an auction result of USD 67,000.00 (€ 43,059.13).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im April letzten Jahres konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Relief à déplacement continuel von Hugo Demarco für EUR 1.512,00 erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Contemporary Curated bei Sothebys in Paris erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 2.000,00 – 3.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Hugo Demarco erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Relief À Deplacement Continuelle im Mai 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 67.000,00 (€ 43.059,13).
