In June 2013 Artcurial held the auction “Intérieurs du 20e siècle” Prints, Editions, Design & More…, which included the work Damier Multicolore, Circa 1970 by Hugo Demarco. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 1,169.00 67% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Hugo Demarco achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Relief À Deplacement Continuelle in May 2008 with an auction result of USD 67,000.00 (€ 43,059.13).

Im Juni 2013 führte Artcurial die Auktion “Intérieurs du 20e siècle” Prints, Editions, Design & More… durch, in der auch die Arbeit Damier Multicolore, Circa 1970 von Hugo Demarco zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 1.169,00 und damit 67% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Hugo Demarco erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Relief À Deplacement Continuelle im Mai 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 67.000,00 (€ 43.059,13).
