Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2015 Sothebys in London held the auction Irish Art, which included the work Oil And Water Ii by Hughie O'Donoghue. It changed hands for a price of GBP 18,750.00 (€ 26,226.57) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 15,000.00 – 20,000.00. Admittedly, works by Hughie O'Donoghue have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Owl Run in November 2019 with an auction result of GBP 93,750.00 (€ 110,085.42).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober 2015 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Irish Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Oil And Water Ii von Hughie O'Donoghue zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 18.750,00 (€ 26.226,57) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 15.000,00 – 20.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Hughie O'Donoghue auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The Owl Run im November 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 93.750,00 (€ 110.085,42).
