Auction result well in line with expectations
The work A view of the Temple of Juno, Agrigento, Sicily by Hugh William Williams was auctioned at Bonhams in London in December this year. The price achieved of GBP 6,400.00 (€ 7,372.55) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Hugh William Williams achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work An extensive view of the Acropolis and Athens, Greece, with the Herodeion Atticon below in July 2011 with an auction result of GBP 157,250.00 (€ 180,467.90).
