This artwork by Hugh Scott-Douglas achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in New York in December 2018. In the First Open Online: Post-War and Contemporary Art auction, the work without title sold for USD 27,500.00 (€ 24,004.89) - well above the upper estimate of USD 10,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Hugh Scott-Douglas - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work without title, which sold at auction in July 2014 for GBP 53,750.00 (€ 67,795.65).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Hugh Scott-Douglas erzielte im Dezember 2018 bei Christies in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion First Open Online: Post-War and Contemporary Art wurde diese Arbeit ohne Titel für USD 27.500,00 (€ 24.004,89) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 10.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Hugh Scott-Douglas mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit ohne Titel beobachtet, die im Juli 2014 für GBP 53.750,00 (€ 67.795,65) versteigert wurde.
