Auction result well in line with expectations
In May 2005 Christies in Melbourne held the auction PAINTINGS FROM THE JOSEPH BROWN COLLECTION, which included the work Seated Figure by Hugh Ramsay. The price achieved of AUD 26,290.00 (€ 16,160.61) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as AUD 20,000.00 – 30,000.00. Other works by Hugh Ramsay have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in August 2002 the work Young Girl in Hat with Fan was auctioned for AUD 35,250.00 (€ 19,753.08).

Im Mai 2005 führte Christies in Melbourne die Auktion PAINTINGS FROM THE JOSEPH BROWN COLLECTION durch, in der auch die Arbeit Seated Figure von Hugh Ramsay zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von AUD 26.290,00 (€ 16.160,61) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit AUD 20.000,00 – 30.000,00 angegeben worden. Andere Arbeiten von Hugh Ramsay konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im August 2002 die Arbeit Young Girl in Hat with Fan für AUD 35.250,00 (€ 19.753,08) versteigert.
