Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2021 Bonhams in Sydney held the auction Important Australian Art, which included the work A Young Beauty by Hugh Ramsay. The price achieved of AUD 12,300.00 (€ 10,897.49) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as AUD 9,000.00 – 14,000.00. Other works by Hugh Ramsay have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in August 2002 the work Young Girl in Hat with Fan was auctioned for AUD 35,250.00 (€ 19,753.08).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November 2021 führte Bonhams in Sydney die Auktion Important Australian Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit A Young Beauty von Hugh Ramsay zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von AUD 12.300,00 (€ 10.897,49) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit AUD 9.000,00 – 14.000,00 angegeben worden. Andere Arbeiten von Hugh Ramsay konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im August 2002 die Arbeit Young Girl in Hat with Fan für AUD 35.250,00 (€ 19.753,08) versteigert.
