Auction result well in line with expectations
In July 2004 Christies in London held the auction 20th Century British Art, which included the work Fishing boats on Hastings beach by Hugh Boycott Brown. The price achieved of GBP 1,792.50 (€ 2,708.86) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 1,500.00 – 2,500.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Hugh Boycott Brown - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work A Suffolk Windmill; Morning At Pin Mill, which sold at auction in June 2007 for GBP 3,840.00 (€ 5,698.37).

Im Juli 2004 führte Christies in London die Auktion 20th Century British Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Fishing boats on Hastings beach von Hugh Boycott Brown zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 1.792,50 (€ 2.708,86) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 1.500,00 – 2.500,00 angegeben worden.
