Auction result well in line with expectations
In December 2005 Christies in Paris held the auction DESSINS ANCIENS ET DU XIXE SIECLE, which included the work Euterpe chevauchant Pégase dans un encadrement rococco by Hubert-François Bourguignon d'Anville. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of EUR 400.00 – 600.00, the actual price achieved of EUR 420.00 could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Hubert-François Bourguignon d'Anville achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A courtier leaning forward and a faint study of another figure in January 2001 with an auction result of USD 7,637.50 (€ 8,205.31).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Dezember 2005 führte Christies in Paris die Auktion DESSINS ANCIENS ET DU XIXE SIECLE durch, in der auch die Arbeit Euterpe chevauchant Pégase dans un encadrement rococco von Hubert-François Bourguignon d'Anville zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 400,00 – 600,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von EUR 420,00 konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Hubert-François Bourguignon d'Anville erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit A courtier leaning forward and a faint study of another figure im Januar 2001 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 7.637,50 (€ 8.205,31).
