Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Scenery Along The Journey by Huang Xiangjian was sold in the Fine Classical Chinese Paintings & Calligraphy auction at Sothebys in New York in September 2018. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 35,000.00 – 55,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 40,000.00 (€ 34,417.48) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Huang Xiangjian - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Landscape Of Kunming, which sold at auction in October 2020 for HKD 882,000.00 (€ 97,688.68).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Scenery Along The Journey von Huang Xiangjian wurde im September 2018 in der Auktion Fine Classical Chinese Paintings & Calligraphy bei Sothebys in New York versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 35.000,00 – 55.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 40.000,00 (€ 34.417,48) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Für andere Arbeiten von Huang Xiangjian mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Landscape Of Kunming beobachtet, die im Oktober 2020 für HKD 882.000,00 (€ 97.688,68) versteigert wurde.
