This artwork by Huang Xiangjian achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in Hong Kong in July 2020. In the Fine Classical Chinese Paintings auction, the work Mountain With Peaks Like Swords sold for HKD 212,500.00 (€ 23,282.23) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 80,000.00. Admittedly, works by Huang Xiangjian have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Landscape Of Kunming in October 2020 with an auction result of HKD 882,000.00 (€ 97,688.68).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Huang Xiangjian erzielte im Juli 2020 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Fine Classical Chinese Paintings wurde die Arbeit Mountain With Peaks Like Swords für HKD 212.500,00 (€ 23.282,23) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 80.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Huang Xiangjian auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Landscape Of Kunming im Oktober 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 882.000,00 (€ 97.688,68).
