Artwork auctioned at six times the upper estimate price
The work Study of Poems by Huang Daozhou was worth HKD 6,125,000.00 (€ 671,076.10) to a buyer in July 2020. This price was achieved in the auction Fine Chinese Classical Paintings and Calligraphy at Christies in Hong Kong and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of HKD 1,000,000.00 many times over. Admittedly, works by Huang Daozhou have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Collection of Poems in November 2019 with an auction result of HKD 42,935,000.00 (€ 4,979,665.12).

Die Arbeit Study of Poems von Huang Daozhou war einem Käufer im Juli 2020 HKD 6.125.000,00 (€ 671.076,10) wert. Dieser Preise wurde in der Auktion Fine Chinese Classical Paintings and Calligraphy bei Christies in Hong Kong erzielt und übertraf den zuvor angesetzten oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 1.000.000,00 um ein Vielfaches. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Huang Daozhou auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Collection of Poems im November 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 42.935.000,00 (€ 4.979.665,12).
