Dated eighteenth day, sixth month, eleventh year of Chongzhen period (1638)
Four collector’s seals, including three of Sun Fuchang (18th-19th Century) and one of Ye Gongchuo (1881-1968)
Colophons by Qin Ying (1743-1821), Chen He and Guang Zhao (18th -19th Century), Ye Gongchuo (1881-1968), with a total of seven seals
Titleslip by Chu Pengling (1749-1825), dated jiazi year (1804), signed with one seal

This artwork by Huang Daozhou achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Hong Kong in November 2021. In the Fine Chinese Classical Paintings and Calligraphy auction, the work Minutes of the Chongzhen Court sold for HKD 9,250,000.00 (€ 1,028,506.25) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 4,000,000.00. Admittedly, works by Huang Daozhou have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Collection of Poems in November 2019 with an auction result of HKD 42,935,000.00 (€ 4,979,665.12).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Huang Daozhou erzielte im November 2021 bei Christies in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Fine Chinese Classical Paintings and Calligraphy wurde die Arbeit Minutes of the Chongzhen Court für HKD 9.250.000,00 (€ 1.028.506,25) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 4.000.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Huang Daozhou auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Collection of Poems im November 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 42.935.000,00 (€ 4.979.665,12).
