Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2021 Sothebys in Hong Kong held the auction Fine Classical Chinese Paintings, which included the work Pine and Rocks by Huang Daozhou. The price achieved of HKD 1,512,000.00 (€ 168,189.06) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 1,200,000.00 – 1,800,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Huang Daozhou achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Collection of Poems in November 2019 with an auction result of HKD 42,935,000.00 (€ 4,979,665.12).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober 2021 führte Sothebys in Hong Kong die Auktion Fine Classical Chinese Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit Pine and Rocks von Huang Daozhou zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 1.512.000,00 (€ 168.189,06) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 1.200.000,00 – 1.800.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Huang Daozhou erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Collection of Poems im November 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 42.935.000,00 (€ 4.979.665,12).
