Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Small-Character Calligraphy In Standard Script by Huang Daozhou was sold in the Fine Chinese Classical Paintings and Calligraphy auction at Christies in Hong Kong in May 2021. The price achieved of HKD 5,250,000.00 (€ 554,965.56) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 4,200,000.00 – 6,200,000.00. Admittedly, works by Huang Daozhou have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Collection of Poems in November 2019 with an auction result of HKD 42,935,000.00 (€ 4,979,665.12).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Small-Character Calligraphy In Standard Script von Huang Daozhou wurde im Mai 2021 in der Auktion Fine Chinese Classical Paintings and Calligraphy bei Christies in Hong Kong versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 5.250.000,00 (€ 554.965,56) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 4.200.000,00 – 6.200.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Huang Daozhou auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Collection of Poems im November 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 42.935.000,00 (€ 4.979.665,12).
