Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Essay In Cursive Script by Huang Daozhou was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in September 2015. The price achieved of USD 60,000.00 (€ 53,753.81) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 50,000.00 – 70,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Huang Daozhou achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Collection of Poems in November 2019 with an auction result of HKD 42,935,000.00 (€ 4,979,665.12).
