This price was achieved in the auction Fine Chinese Classical Paintings and Calligraphy Including Property from the Chokaido Museum Collection at Christies in Hong Kong and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of HKD 500,000.00 many times over. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Huang Daozhou achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Collection of Poems in November 2019 with an auction result of HKD 42,935,000.00 (€ 4,979,665.12).
