Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Calligraphy In Cursive Script by Huang Daozhou was sold in the Fine Classical Chinese Paintings auction at Sothebys in Hong Kong in October 2017. The price achieved of HKD 400,000.00 (€ 44,024.73) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 350,000.00 – 450,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Huang Daozhou achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Collection of Poems in November 2019 with an auction result of HKD 42,935,000.00 (€ 4,979,665.12).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Calligraphy In Cursive Script von Huang Daozhou wurde im Oktober 2017 in der Auktion Fine Classical Chinese Paintings bei Sothebys in Hong Kong versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 400.000,00 (€ 44.024,73) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 350.000,00 – 450.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Huang Daozhou erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Collection of Poems im November 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 42.935.000,00 (€ 4.979.665,12).
