In November 2021 POLY in Hong Kong held the auction Fine Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy, which included the work Ink Landscape by Huang Banruo. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 31,200.00 (€ 3,469.12), 56% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Huang Banruo have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Kapok Flower in May 2012 with an auction result of HKD 275,000.00 (€ 28,647.69).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 56 % übertroffen
Im November 2021 führte POLY in Hong Kong die Auktion Fine Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy durch, in der auch die Arbeit Ink Landscape von Huang Banruo zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 31.200,00 (€ 3.469,12) und damit 56% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Huang Banruo auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Kapok Flower im Mai 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 275.000,00 (€ 28.647,69).
