Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Seven Character Couple In Seal Script by Hu Shu was sold in the Classical Chinese Painting and Calligraphy auction at China Guardian in Hong Kong in May 2017. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of HKD 2,000.00 – 5,000.00, the actual price achieved of HKD 2,360.00 (€ 269.48) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Hu Shu achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Calligraphy In Zhuanshu in April 2015 with an auction result of HKD 625,000.00 (€ 72,231.68).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Seven Character Couple In Seal Script von Hu Shu wurde im Mai 2017 in der Auktion Classical Chinese Painting and Calligraphy bei China Guardian in Hong Kong versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 2.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von HKD 2.360,00 (€ 269,48) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Hu Shu erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Calligraphy In Zhuanshu im April 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 625.000,00 (€ 72.231,68).
