Auction result well in line with expectations
In May 2017 China Guardian in Hong Kong held the auction Classical Chinese Painting and Calligraphy, which included the work Eight Character Couplet In Seal Script by Hu Shu. The price achieved of HKD 47,200.00 (€ 5,389.60) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 40,000.00 – 50,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Hu Shu achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Calligraphy In Zhuanshu in April 2015 with an auction result of HKD 625,000.00 (€ 72,231.68).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai 2017 führte China Guardian in Hong Kong die Auktion Classical Chinese Painting and Calligraphy durch, in der auch die Arbeit Eight Character Couplet In Seal Script von Hu Shu zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 47.200,00 (€ 5.389,60) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 40.000,00 – 50.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Hu Shu erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Calligraphy In Zhuanshu im April 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 625.000,00 (€ 72.231,68).
