Auction result well in line with expectations
The work The Season Of Blossoming Peony (Painted In 1989) by Hu Shanyu was sold in the Asian 20th Century and Contemporary Art auction at China Guardian in October 2021. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of HKD 180,000.00 – 380,000.00, the actual price achieved of HKD 216,000.00 (€ 24,027.01) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Hu Shanyu have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Portrait of a University Student in October this year with an auction result of HKD 1,080,000.00 (€ 130,605.60).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit The Season Of Blossoming Peony (Painted In 1989) von Hu Shanyu wurde im Oktober 2021 in der Auktion Asian 20th Century and Contemporary Art bei China Guardian versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 180.000,00 – 380.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von HKD 216.000,00 (€ 24.027,01) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Hu Shanyu auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Portrait of a University Student im Oktober diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 1.080.000,00 (€ 130.605,60).
