In May last year Christies in Hong Kong held the auction Fine Chinese Modern and Contemporary Ink Paintings, which included the work Returning from Rain by Hu Ruosi. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 126,000.00 (€ 14,958.90), 26% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Hu Ruosi achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Mount Hua Scenery in October 2011 with an auction result of HKD 1,700,000.00 (€ 156,994.34).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 26 % übertroffen
Im Mai letzten Jahres führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion Fine Chinese Modern and Contemporary Ink Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit Returning from Rain von Hu Ruosi zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 126.000,00 (€ 14.958,90) und damit 26% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Hu Ruosi erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Mount Hua Scenery im Oktober 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 1.700.000,00 (€ 156.994,34).
