This artwork by Hsu Tung-Lung achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Hong Kong in November 2017. In the Asian 20th Century Art (Day Sale) auction, the work Star of Wisdom sold for HKD 475,000.00 (€ 51,140.95) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 260,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Hsu Tung-Lung; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot THE MERCY BUDDHA sold at auction in November 2016 with the realized price of HKD 687,500.00 (€ 83,776.47).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 83 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Hsu Tung-Lung erzielte im November 2017 bei Christies in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Asian 20th Century Art (Day Sale) wurde die Arbeit Star of Wisdom für HKD 475.000,00 (€ 51.140,95) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 260.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Hsu Tung-Lung; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit THE MERCY BUDDHA im November 2016 mit dem Hammerpreis von HKD 687.500,00 (€ 83.776,47).
