Auction result well in line with expectations
In April 2021 China Guardian in Hong Kong held the auction Asian 20th Century and Contemporary Art, which included the work Wild Dog (Painted In 1990) by Hsia Yan. The price achieved of HKD 94,400.00 (€ 10,107.00) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 80,000.00 – 120,000.00. Admittedly, works by Hsia Yan have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Pedestrian At Soho No.5 in April 2017 with an auction result of HKD 850,000.00 (€ 100,330.43).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im April 2021 führte China Guardian in Hong Kong die Auktion Asian 20th Century and Contemporary Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Wild Dog (Painted In 1990) von Hsia Yan zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 94.400,00 (€ 10.107,00) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 80.000,00 – 120.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Hsia Yan auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Pedestrian At Soho No.5 im April 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 850.000,00 (€ 100.330,43).
