Auction result well in line with expectations
The work A Sunday Afternoon On Ile De La Grande Jatte by Hsia Yan was auctioned at Sothebys in Hong Kong in October 2019. The price achieved of HKD 437,500.00 (€ 50,005.60) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 350,000.00 – 550,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Hsia Yan - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Pedestrian At Soho No.5, which sold at auction in April 2017 for HKD 850,000.00 (€ 100,330.43).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit A Sunday Afternoon On Ile De La Grande Jatte von Hsia Yan kam im Oktober 2019 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 437.500,00 (€ 50.005,60) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 350.000,00 – 550.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Hsia Yan mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Pedestrian At Soho No.5 beobachtet, die im April 2017 für HKD 850.000,00 (€ 100.330,43) versteigert wurde.
