The result of USD 400,000.00 (€ 343,436.08) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of USD 400,000.00 – 600,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Howard Terpning - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Coffee Coolers Meet the Hostiles, which sold at auction in February 2019 for USD 1,392,500.00 (€ 1,223,745.50).

Die Arbeit Pursued von Howard Terpning wurde im Oktober 2020 in der Auktion The Legend of the West: Iconic Works from the T. Boone Pickens Collection bei Christies in New York versteigert. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von USD 400.000,00 (€ 343.436,08) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 400.000,00 – 600.000,00.
