Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Howard Coster achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in September 2010. In the Exploration and Travel including the Polar Sale auction, the work T.E. Lawrence sold for GBP 4,000.00 (€ 4,626.42) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 1,500.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Howard Coster; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Gluck, Ca.1932 sold at auction in February 2019 with the realized price of GBP 5,000.00 (€ 5,832.67).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Howard Coster erzielte im September 2010 bei Christies in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Exploration and Travel including the Polar Sale wurde die Arbeit T.E. Lawrence für GBP 4.000,00 (€ 4.626,42) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 1.500,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Howard Coster; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Gluck, Ca.1932 im Februar 2019 mit dem Hammerpreis von GBP 5.000,00 (€ 5.832,67).
