Auction result well in line with expectations
The work House by Howard Arkley was sold in the AUSTRALIAN AND INTERNATIONAL PAINTINGS auction at Christies in Melbourne in November 2000. The price achieved of AUD 7,050.00 (€ 4,266.98) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as AUD 6,000.00 – 8,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Howard Arkley achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Australian Untitled in May 2007 with an auction result of AUD 180,000.00 (€ 110,678.66).

Die Arbeit House von Howard Arkley wurde im November 2000 in der Auktion AUSTRALIAN AND INTERNATIONAL PAINTINGS bei Christies in Melbourne versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von AUD 7.050,00 (€ 4.266,98) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit AUD 6.000,00 – 8.000,00 angegeben worden.
