Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2010 Christies in Dubai held the auction International Modern and Contemporary Art, which included this untitled work by Hossein Khosrojerdi. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 12,000.00 – 18,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 12,500.00 (€ 8,996.69) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Hossein Khosrojerdi - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Gaze, which sold at auction in April 2008 for USD 55,000.00 (€ 35,328.88).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober 2010 führte Christies in Dubai die Auktion International Modern and Contemporary Art durch, in der auch diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Hossein Khosrojerdi zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 12.000,00 – 18.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 12.500,00 (€ 8.996,69) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Für andere Arbeiten von Hossein Khosrojerdi mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Gaze beobachtet, die im April 2008 für USD 55.000,00 (€ 35.328,88) versteigert wurde.
