Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Composition by Hossein Kashian was sold in the Iranian and Arab Modern and Contemporary Art auction at Artcurial in Paris in October 2009. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of EUR 5,000.00 – 7,000.00, the actual price achieved of EUR 5,100.00 could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Hossein Kashian have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work L'interrogation de l'amour in June 2008 with an auction result of EUR 26,900.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Composition von Hossein Kashian wurde im Oktober 2009 in der Auktion Iranian and Arab Modern and Contemporary Art bei Artcurial in Paris versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 5.000,00 – 7.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von EUR 5.100,00 konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Hossein Kashian auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit L'interrogation de l'amour im Juni 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 26.900,00.
