This artwork by Horia Damian achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Paris in June 2018. In the POST-WAR AND CONTEMPORARY ART Paris, Day Sale auction, the work Grande composition Blanche sold for EUR 15,000.00 - well above the upper estimate of EUR 7,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Horia Damian; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Composition avec 4 formes grises sold at auction in June 2017 with the realized price of EUR 23,750.00.

In der Auktion POST-WAR AND CONTEMPORARY ART Paris, Day Sale wurde die Arbeit Grande composition Blanche für EUR 15.000,00 versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von EUR 7.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Horia Damian; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Composition avec 4 formes grises im Juni 2017 mit dem Hammerpreis von EUR 23.750,00.
