The work Catharsis by Hopare was auctioned at Phillips in Hong Kong in June 2021. It achieved a price of HKD 403,200.00 (€ 43,797.97), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 61%. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Hopare; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Yiruma sold at auction in June 2021 with the realized price of HKD 693,000.00 (€ 75,277.77).

Die Arbeit Catharsis von Hopare kam im Juni 2021 bei Phillips in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von HKD 403.200,00 (€ 43.797,97) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 61%. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Hopare; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Yiruma im Juni 2021 mit dem Hammerpreis von HKD 693.000,00 (€ 75.277,77).
