Artwork auctioned at three times the upper estimate price
The work Summer Melody by Hong Ling was worth HKD 1,750,000.00 (€ 184,988.52) to a buyer in May 2021. This price was achieved in the auction 20th and 21st Century Art Morning Session at Christies in Hong Kong and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of HKD 500,000.00 many times over. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Hong Ling - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Late Autumn, which sold at auction in November 2015 for HKD 3,640,000.00 (€ 444,574.89).

Dieser Preise wurde in der Auktion 20th and 21st Century Art Morning Session bei Christies in Hong Kong erzielt und übertraf den zuvor angesetzten oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 500.000,00 um ein Vielfaches. Für andere Arbeiten von Hong Ling mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Late Autumn beobachtet, die im November 2015 für HKD 3.640.000,00 (€ 444.574,89) versteigert wurde.
