Auction result well in line with expectations
The work A tryptych: A vessel sailing near the harbour (central piece); and a Volendam man; and a Volendam woman at the dock (outer wings) by Hobbe Smith was auctioned at Christies in Amsterdam in June 2015. The price achieved of EUR 5,000.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. Admittedly, works by Hobbe Smith have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work De Magere Brug over de Amstel in October 2003 with an auction result of EUR 23,900.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit A tryptych: A vessel sailing near the harbour (central piece); and a Volendam man; and a Volendam woman at the dock (outer wings) von Hobbe Smith kam im Juni 2015 bei Christies in Amsterdam zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 5.000,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Hobbe Smith auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit De Magere Brug over de Amstel im Oktober 2003 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 23.900,00.
