The work Final Corner by Hiroshi Kobayashi was sold in the Asian Contemporary Art (Day Sale) auction at Christies in Hong Kong in May 2009. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 375,000.00 (€ 34,245.36), 44% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Hiroshi Kobayashi - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Step into the Mist, which sold at auction in November 2009 for HKD 980,000.00 (€ 84,313.73).

Die Arbeit Final Corner von Hiroshi Kobayashi wurde im Mai 2009 in der Auktion Asian Contemporary Art (Day Sale) bei Christies in Hong Kong versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 375.000,00 (€ 34.245,36) und damit 44% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Hiroshi Kobayashi mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Step into the Mist beobachtet, die im November 2009 für HKD 980.000,00 (€ 84.313,73) versteigert wurde.
