The work Luminary of the Future by Hiroshi Kobayashi was auctioned at Christies in Hong Kong in May 2011. It achieved a price of HKD 920,000.00 (€ 82,298.27), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 53%. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Hiroshi Kobayashi; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Step into the Mist sold at auction in November 2009 with the realized price of HKD 980,000.00 (€ 84,313.73).

Die Arbeit Luminary of the Future von Hiroshi Kobayashi kam im Mai 2011 bei Christies in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von HKD 920.000,00 (€ 82.298,27) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 53%. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Hiroshi Kobayashi; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Step into the Mist im November 2009 mit dem Hammerpreis von HKD 980.000,00 (€ 84.313,73).
