Auction result well in line with expectations
In June 2016 Christies in London held the auction Impressionist & Modern Art Works on Paper, which included the work Vision by Hippolyte Petitjean. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 1,500.00 – 200,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 2,500.00 (€ 3,000.82) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Hippolyte Petitjean achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Femme Au Bord Du Lac in March 2018 with an auction result of GBP 68,750.00 (€ 78,275.67).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juni 2016 führte Christies in London die Auktion Impressionist & Modern Art Works on Paper durch, in der auch die Arbeit Vision von Hippolyte Petitjean zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 1.500,00 – 200.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 2.500,00 (€ 3.000,82) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Hippolyte Petitjean erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Femme Au Bord Du Lac im März 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 68.750,00 (€ 78.275,67).
