This artwork by Hilda Carline achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in October 2003. In the 20TH C BRIT ART INC. WORKS FROM THE STUDIO OF HILDA CARLINE auction, the work Waterfall, Mostar sold for GBP 2,820.00 (€ 4,118.87) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 1,200.00. Admittedly, works by Hilda Carline have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Portrait of Stanley Spencer in October 2003 with an auction result of GBP 24,675.00 (€ 36,040.08).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Hilda Carline erzielte im Oktober 2003 bei Christies in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion 20TH C BRIT ART INC. WORKS FROM THE STUDIO OF HILDA CARLINE wurde die Arbeit Waterfall, Mostar für GBP 2.820,00 (€ 4.118,87) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 1.200,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Hilda Carline auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Portrait of Stanley Spencer im Oktober 2003 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 24.675,00 (€ 36.040,08).
