Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Study for a wartime blind for an antique shop, Westminster; Child resting by water; The Judgement of Paris; Tree study; and the Fountain in Luxembourg Gardens by Annie Carline. by Hilda Carline was sold in the 20TH C BRIT ART INC. WORKS FROM THE STUDIO OF HILDA CARLINE auction at Christies in London in October 2003. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 500.00 – 700.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 528.75 (€ 772.29) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Hilda Carline achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Portrait of Stanley Spencer in October 2003 with an auction result of GBP 24,675.00 (€ 36,040.08).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Study for a wartime blind for an antique shop, Westminster; Child resting by water; The Judgement of Paris; Tree study; and the Fountain in Luxembourg Gardens by Annie Carline. von Hilda Carline wurde im Oktober 2003 in der Auktion 20TH C BRIT ART INC. WORKS FROM THE STUDIO OF HILDA CARLINE bei Christies in London versteigert.
