Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2003 Christies in London held the auction 20TH C BRIT ART INC. WORKS FROM THE STUDIO OF HILDA CARLINE, which included the work Luxembourg Gardens, Paris by Hilda Carline. The price achieved of GBP 1,057.50 (€ 1,544.57) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 800.00 – 1,200.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Hilda Carline achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Portrait of Stanley Spencer in October 2003 with an auction result of GBP 24,675.00 (€ 36,040.08).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober 2003 führte Christies in London die Auktion 20TH C BRIT ART INC. WORKS FROM THE STUDIO OF HILDA CARLINE durch, in der auch die Arbeit Luxembourg Gardens, Paris von Hilda Carline zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 1.057,50 (€ 1.544,57) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 800,00 – 1.200,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Hilda Carline erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Portrait of Stanley Spencer im Oktober 2003 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 24.675,00 (€ 36.040,08).
