The »bidding war« ended at GBP 6,875.00 (€ 9,626.78), 38% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Hernando Viñes have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work La dessinatrice in October 2005 with an auction result of EUR 45,600.00.

Die Arbeit Naturaleza Muerta Con Botella (Still Life With A Bottle) von Hernando Viñes wurde im November 2007 in der Auktion 19th Century Paintings including Spanish Painting and Symbolism & the Poetic Vision bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 6.875,00 (€ 9.626,78) und damit 38% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Hernando Viñes auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit La dessinatrice im Oktober 2005 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 45.600,00.
