Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Unloading the catch by Hermanus Koekkoek Sen. was sold in the Old Masters and 19th Century Art auction at Christies in Amsterdam in November 2012. The price achieved of EUR 12,500.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Hermanus Koekkoek Sen. achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Mending Nets by the Shore in November 2001 with an auction result of USD 154,500.00 (€ 172,471.53).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Unloading the catch von Hermanus Koekkoek Sen. wurde im November 2012 in der Auktion Old Masters and 19th Century Art bei Christies in Amsterdam versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 12.500,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 10.000,00 – 15.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Hermanus Koekkoek Sen. erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Mending Nets by the Shore im November 2001 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 154.500,00 (€ 172.471,53).
