Auction result well in line with expectations
In June 2012 Christies in London held the auction 19th Century European Art including Orientalist Art, which included the work Coastal scene with fishing vessels by Hermanus Koekkoek Sen.. The price achieved of GBP 11,875.00 (€ 14,704.08) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Hermanus Koekkoek Sen. achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Mending Nets by the Shore in November 2001 with an auction result of USD 154,500.00 (€ 172,471.53).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juni 2012 führte Christies in London die Auktion 19th Century European Art including Orientalist Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Coastal scene with fishing vessels von Hermanus Koekkoek Sen. zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 11.875,00 (€ 14.704,08) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 10.000,00 – 15.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Hermanus Koekkoek Sen. erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Mending Nets by the Shore im November 2001 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 154.500,00 (€ 172.471,53).
