Auction result well in line with expectations

It changed hands for a price of EUR 13,750.00 achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of EUR 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Hermanus Koekkoek Sen. achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Mending Nets by the Shore in November 2001 with an auction result of USD 154,500.00 (€ 172,471.53).

Die Arbeit Activities On A Busy Winter'S Day On The Ice von Hermanus Koekkoek Sen. wurde im November 2015 in der Auktion Old Masters & 19th CenturyArt - (including Dutch Impressionism) bei Christies in Amsterdam versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von EUR 13.750,00 den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 10.000,00 – 15.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Hermanus Koekkoek Sen. erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Mending Nets by the Shore im November 2001 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 154.500,00 (€ 172.471,53).
