Upper estimated price slightly exceeded

However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Herman Verelst - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Roses, a tulip, a poppy and other flowers in a vase and a half-peeled orange in a roemer, on a stone ledge, which sold at auction in December 2012 for GBP 85,250.00 (€ 105,136.93).
