In May this year Bonhams held the auction Prints & Photographs | Bonhams Skinner, which included the work Charlie Parker, Metronome All-Stars, NYC by Herman Leonard. The »bidding war« ended at USD 2,040.00 (€ 1,914.77), 70% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Herman Leonard achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Selected Jazz Studies in October 2011 with an auction result of USD 28,125.00 (€ 20,165.63).

Im Mai diesen Jahres führte Bonhams die Auktion Prints & Photographs | Bonhams Skinner durch, in der auch die Arbeit Charlie Parker, Metronome All-Stars, NYC von Herman Leonard zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 2.040,00 (€ 1.914,77) und damit 70% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Herman Leonard erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Selected Jazz Studies im Oktober 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 28.125,00 (€ 20.165,63).
